This specimen was lot 32094 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $2,160. The catalog description[1] noted, "HUNGARY. Goldgulden, ND (1437-39). Kremnica Mint. Albrecht. PCGS MS-62. A beautiful and appealing nearly-Choice specimen, with sharp alluring brilliance, with limited signs of handling and much eye appeal." Albert the Magnanimous was duke of Austria 1404-39 and king of Hungary 1437-39. Elected king of the Romans, he died fighting the Turks before he could become Holy Roman Emperor.
