This specimen was lot 2077 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 5,000 CHF (about US$6,607 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"UNGARN, Sigismund, 1387-1437. Goldgulden o. J. (vor 1410), Kaschau. Unbekannter Kammergraf. NGC MS65. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. Das durch NGC höchstbewertete Exemplar. (kingdom of Hungary, Sigismund, 1387-1437, undated goldgulden, circa 1410, Kaschau mint, unknown mintmaster. Magnificent condition, Finest certified by NGC.)"
The ducats or florins or goldgulden of Hungary are among the more common gold coins of the late middle ages.
