This specimen was lot 1546 in Stephen Album sale 37 (Santa Rosa, CA, June 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "HONG KONG: Victoria, 1841-1901, AR 50 cents, 1892, a lovely example with much original tone, NGC graded MS61. This is one of only four 1892 50 cents graded mint state at NGC or PCGS, and is the finest graded at NGC!" This type was struck at the London mint 1890-94 (shown here) and at Heaton 1891-92.
Recorded mintage: 90,000 + proofs.
