This specimen was lot 21287 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), where it sold for $2,530. The catalog description[1] noted, "Victoria Specimen 5 Cents 1883H, Specimen 67 PCGS, flawless reflective surfaces with old-time blue-green and pewter gray patina, very attractive and rare as a Specimen." This type was struck at the heaton Mint sporadically 1872-1901 and this date is listed as scarce. This bare bust appeared on the five, twenty and fifty cents and a "Gothic" bust of the queen was used on the cent and ten cents. British coinage for Hong Kong ceased in 1997 when the island was returned to China.
