One reales were struck intermittently using good silver at Tegucigalpa, Honduras, during 1825-32. Various types of debased silver were issued until 1854. All are scarce and rare in nice condition. This specimen was lot 1131 in Stacks-Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $881.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "HONDURAS. Real, 1851-G. Tegucigalpa Mint. NGC AU-55. Small planchet flaw on reverse, well struck with a large amount of original silver still present. Toned and attractive."
