Sedwick sale 27, lot 1129

This specimen was lot 1129 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 27 (Winter Park, FL, May 2020), where it sold for $416.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Tegucigalpa, Honduras, provisional (low-silver) 2 reales, 1844F, CREZCA variety, NGC AU details / cleaned, ex-O'Brien. Sharp details (the leaves somewhat flat), with lots of luster on silvery fields, light rosy copper color on high points (a bit bright, but arguably not egregious enough to call "cleaned"), scarce assayer. NGC #4771567-014. Pedigreed to the John O'Brien collection (stated on label)." This type was struck 1840-47; the date is also known with assayer G.
