This specimen was lot 1205 in Jean Elsen sale 162 (Brussels, June 2025), where it sold for €300 (about US$416 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NEDERLAND, De Bataafse Republiek (1795-1806), AR zilveren dukaat, 1800, Holland. Zeldzaam. Gereinigd. (Netherlands, Batavian Republic, 1795-1806, silver ducat of 1800, Holland mint. Rare, cleaned, Very Fine.)"
This type was struck 1796-1802 as a continuation of the silver ducats formerly struck in the United Provinces. Note the star mintmark next to the knight's helmet.
Recorded mintage: 2,667,670 for 1796-1802.
Specification: 28.25 g, 0.873 fine silver, this specimen 27,30 g.
