This specimen was lot 30282 in Heritage sale 3040 (Chicago, April 2015), where it sold for $2,820. The catalog description[1] noted, "Holland. Provincial Ducaton (Silver Rider) 1793 MS64 NGC. A fully original example with glistening champagne luster that radiates from beneath graphite-gray cabinet patina. An incredibly well-preserved example, especially considering its age, absolutely desirable in this near-gem designation." The SCWC notes that the regular issues from Holland run 1672-94, 1716-21 and 1734-93.
Recorded mintage: 50,000 (a common date).
