This specimen was lot 3666 in Künker Auction 426 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €105 (about US$149 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HOHENZOLLERN-SIGMARINGEN, FÜRSTENTUM Carl, 1831-1848. Gulden 1839. Hübsche Patina, min. Henkelspur, sehr schön. (principality of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, Charles, 1831-48, gulden of 1839. Mount mark, toned, very fine.)"
This type was struck 1839-48 and is somewhat scarce. Karl was the last prince; fearing revolution, he abdicated in favor of the king of Prussia in 1848.
