This specimen was lot 2535 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "HOHENZOLLERN-SIGMARINGEN: Karl, 1831-1848, AR 6 kreuzer, 1839, a superb lustrous example! NGC graded MS65." The circulating issue was made 1839-47 and is not rare. Gold off-metal strikes are known. Karl was the last prince; fearing revolution, he abdicated in favor of the king of Prussia in 1848.
