This specimen was lot 1313 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$145 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND Hohenlohe-Neuenstein-Öhringen, Grafschaft, Ludwig Friedrich Karl, 1765-1805. 10 Konventionskreuzer 1803, Wertheim. Auf die Einweihung der Deutschen Schule in Öhringen. (Germany, county of Hohenlohe-Neuenstein-Öhringen, Louis Frederick Charles, 1765-1805, ten kreuzer of 1803, Wertheim mint. On the opening of the German school in Öhringen. About Uncirculated. On November 24, 1803, each student present at the inauguration, 318 in total, was given one coin. A total of 1,052 coins were minted.)"

Despite the tiny mintage, this commemorative is not rare, suggesting that it was saved by its recipients. The state was mediatized in 1806.

Recorded mintage: 1,052.

Specifications: 0.562 fine silver, this specimen 3.84 g.

Catalog reference: Albrecht 183. KM 70.
