This specimen was lot 71418 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2019), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Hesse-Darmstadt. 20 Kreuzer, 1808-RF. Ludwig X. NGC MS-64. The finest graded by NGC, this stunning near Gem features a high degree of brilliance and luster. The strike has some weakness in spots, but is wholly consistent with the type. Worthy of detailed focus." This type was struck 1807-09 in the midst of the Napoleonic Wars and is rather scarce. A five kreuzer (KM 270) and ten kreuzer (KM 271) also exist. It was worth one sixth of a thaler.
