Künker Auction 441, lot 4263

This specimen was lot 4263 in Künker sale 441 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €4,400 (about US$6,053 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HESSEN-DARMSTADT, LANDGRAFSCHAFT, SEIT 1806 GROSSHERZOGTUM Ernst Ludwig, 1678-1739. 1/2 Reichstaler 1700, Darmstadt. Von größter Seltenheit. Hübsche Patina, sehr schön. (landgraviate of Hesse-Darmstadt, Ernest Louis, 1678-1739, half thaler of 1700, Darmstadt mint. Extremely rare, handsome patina, very fine.)"

Altho the SCWC mentions a thaler for 1700 from this state (KM 95.3/Dav-6812), this half thaler is missing.
