This specimen was lot 5792 in Künker sale 354 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €2,800 (about US$3,897 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HESSEN-KASSEL, LANDGRAFSCHAFT, Wilhelm V. 1627-1637. Reichstaler 1627, Kassel. Porträttaler. Mit glattem Brustharnisch neben den Rosetten auf der Vorderseite und ohne Punkt am Ende der Vorderseitenumschrift. R Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Germany, landgraviate of Hesse-Cassel, William V, 1627-37, thaler of 1627, Cassel mint, portrait thaler, with a smooth breastplate next to the rosettes on the front and without a dot at the end of the obverse legend.)"
