Künker sale 335, lot 3826

This specimen was lot 3826 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €150 (about US$196 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRAUNSCHWEIG UND LÜNEBURG, BRAUNSCHWEIG-CALENBERG-HANNOVER, Ernst August, 1837-1851. 1/6 Taler 1845, B. Prachtexemplar. Feine Patina, fast Stempelglanz. (Germany, kingdom of Hannover, Ernest Augustus, 1837-51, one sixth thaler of 1845. Cabinet piece, fine patina, about uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1844-47.

Recorded mintage: 457,000 for 1840-47.

Specification: 5.35 g, 0.520 fine silver, this specimen 5.37 g.
