The first specimen was lot 328 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €280 (about US$362 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Hamburg, STADT Reichstaler 1748, mit Titel von Franz I. auf die 100-Jahrfeier des Westfälischen Friedens. Münzmeister Johann Hinrich Löwe. Hübsche Patina, sehr schön + (Germany, city of Hamburg, thaler of 1748, in the name of Francis I, on the centennial of the Peace of Westphalia, mintmaster Johann Hinrich Löwe. Nice toning, choice very fine.)"

The second specimen was lot 3654 in Künker Auction 426 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €350 (about US$496 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[2] noted,

"HAMBURG, STADT Reichstaler 1748, mit Titel von Franz I., auf die 100-Jahrfeier des Westfälischen Friedens. Winz. Schrötlingsfehler, vorzüglich. (city of Hamburg, thaler of 1748, struck in the name of Francis I, on the centennial of the peace of Westphalia. Minor planchet defects, extremely fine.)"

Despite the small mintage, enough were saved of this commemorative that it is only somewhat scarce today. This is the first thaler struck by Hamburg since 1735 and the last issued during the eighteenth century.
