This specimen was lot 3256 in Goldberg sale 85 (Los Angeles, June 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States: Hamburg. 2 Ducats, 1705-IR. Bust of Joseph I right, on base with imperial eagle. Reverse: Arms in palm branches. Wave in the flan. Attractively toned with considerable amount of original mint luster. Very Rare. Extremely Fine." This type is also listed without date; both are rare.
