This specimen was lot 198 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €350 (about US$452 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Hamburg, STADT Reichstaler (32 Schilling) 1588, mit Titel Rudolfs II. Münzmeister Jacob Schmidt. Gaed. 344 (dort irrtümlich das Münzmeisterzeichen von Andreas Metzner angegeben). RR Hübsche Patina, sehr schön. (Germany, city of Hamburg, thaler of 1588, in the name of Rudolf II, mintmaster Jacob Schmidt. Rare, nice patina, very fine.)"
Davenport, who could not find a photo of this coin, notes this one year type as rare.
