In 1917, the town of Hall in Wurttemberg issued five and ten pfennig notgeld. Judging from the wear and corrosion, this early piece actually circulated. Others are known struck in steel. The town is also known as "Schwabisch Hall" to distinguish it from other Halls scattered around Germany.

Recorded mintage: 28,516 in zinc plus 20,033 struck in steel.

Specification: zinc, 20.7 mm diameter.
