This specimen is from a type struck for Haiti in 1972-85 as part of the F.A.O. series. It is accompanied by a similar five, ten and twenty centimes coins, all common. The portrait is of Jean-Claude "Baby Doc" Duvalier, son and heir of François "Papa Doc" Duvalier, "President for Life" of Haiti.

Recorded mintage: 600,000.
