This specimen is from a type struck for Haiti in 1972, 1975 and 1983 as part of the F.A.O. series. It is accompanied by a similar five, ten and fifty centimes coins, all common. The portrait is of Jean-Claude "Baby Doc" Duvalier, son and heir of François "Papa Doc" Duvalier, "President for Life" of Haiti.
Recorded mintage: 1,500,000.
Specification: copper-nickel, 26 mm diameter.
