This specimen was lot 876 in Stack's Coin Galleries sale (New York, December 2009), where it sold for $92. The catalog description noted, "HAITI. Republic. 50 Centimes, 1908. Waterbury, CT. Uniformed bust of President Nord Alexis l. Rv. Arms. Struck by Scoville Manufacturing Co., designed by Charles E. Barber. Virtually unknown this nice. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated." This type was issued 1907-08 and was the last 50 centimes piece issued until 1972. President Nord Alexis also appears on similar 10 centimes (KM 54) and 20 centimes (KM 55) coins.
