This type was struck one year only, at the Philadelphia Mint. The portrait is of the much-reviled Paul Eugene Magloire (1907-2001), "President for Life" of Haiti for 1950-56. He had many critics, who all took care to stay out of the reach of his secret police.
Recorded mintage: 3,000,000.
