This specimen was lot 73466 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "GUATEMALA. Centavo, 1943. Philadelphia Mint. PCGS MS-64. A lustrous and boldly struck example of this two-year series. Both obverse and reverse are blessed with a splash of lilac to pea-green toning." This type was struck again in 1944 at the San Francisco mint. This example sold for nearly seven time the catalog value.
