This specimen was lot 75453 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), where it sold for $292.80. The catalog description[1] noted, "GUATEMALA. Real, 1805-NG M. Nueva Guatemala Mint. Charles IV. PCGS VF-35. From the Richard August Collection." This issue of the Guatemala mint turns up from time to time but rarely better than Very Good. Assayer "M," for Manuel Eusebio Sanchez, is recorded for 1785-1836.
