This specimen was lot 71005 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREECE. 10 Lepta, 1895-A. NGC MS-63. Nicely struck and lustrous with gentle yellow and blue-green toning." This type was struck at Paris in 1894-95. Worn specimens fill dealer junk boxes but choice examples are scarce. The ten lepta was struck in copper 1833-38, 1843-51, 1857, and struck in bronze 1869-70, 1878-79 and 1882.

Recorded mintage: 3,000,000.
