This specimen was lot 33251 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "Greece. Othon 2 Lepta 1833 MS65 Brown PCGS. An incredibly strong strike and beautiful chestnut patina with lustrous hues of gunmetal blue." This type was struck 1832-42. This specimen realized one third of the catalog value. King Otto, originally a Bavarian princeling, fell foul of the local politicians and was forced to abdicate in 1863.
