Sincona sale 86, lot 1851

This specimen was lot 1851 in Sincona sale 86 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 2,000 CHF (about US$2,693 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Elizabeth II. 1952-2022. Proof 5 Pounds 2019, Royal Mint Llantrisant. Gold. 'Tower of London - Yeoman Warders'. Very rare. Only 385 pieces struck. NGC PF67 ULTRA CAMEO. With original box and certificate. No. 108 of 385 sets."

Recorded mintage: 17,145 in copper-nickel plus 2,222 silver proofs plus 601 silver pieforts plus 385 in gold.

Specification: KM 1742a: 28.28 g, 0.925 fine silver, 38.61 mm diameter, KM 1742c: 39.97 g, 0.917 fine gold, this specimen 39.89 g.
