Great Britain 2019 500 pounds KM-1781
This specimen was lot 77601 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $1,680. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Britannia 500 Pounds (Kilo), 2019. Llantrisant Mint. Elizabeth II. PCGS PROOF-68 Deep Cameo. An impressive large-format issue with a limited mintage of only 83 pieces. The fields are bright and flashy in contrast the frosted devices. Close inspection reveals mottled patina on the rims mentioned for accuracy. Otherwise free of haze or fog." This immense format was also used for other NCLT's, including KM 1782, 1783, 1784, 1785. The recent zoom in silver prices means its bullion value now exceeds the price realized.
Recorded mintage: 83.
Specification: 1000 g, 0.999 fine silver, 100 mm diameter, 32.27 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
