This specimen was lot 1722 in Goldberg Sale 146 (Los Angeles, July 2025), where it sold for $1,440. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. "The Queen's Beasts" 500 Pounds, 2017. Weight 1005 grams (Kilo). 999 Silver. 100 mm. Queen Elizabeth II. Reverse: Unicorn of Scotland. In presentation wood box with certificate number 45. One of First 75 Struck, maximum mintage of 225. NGC graded Proof 70 Ultra Cameo." The sculpture depicted herein is actually the lion of England, the unicorn of Scotland appearing on KM 1484. This design was used on 50 pence, two pounds (KM 1441), five pounds (KM 1460), ten pounds (KM 1435), 25 pounds (KM 1471), 100 pounds (KM 1476, 1480) and 500 pounds (KM 1488, shown here, and KM 1489 in gold).

Recorded mintage: 225 authorized, 117 sold.

Specification: 1000 g, 0.999 fine silver, 100 mm diameter.
