This type, struck 1954-67 and 1970 for Great Britain, is very common except in proof. It had no place after the decimalization of 1968 and was demonetized.

Recorded mintage: 78,583,000 plus proofs.

Specification: 5.6 g, bronze, 25.4 mm diameter, designed by Mary Gillick and George Krueger-Gray.
