This specimen was lot 33159 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V 1/2 Crown 1928 MS66 PCGS. Fully-struck with bright, shimmering surfaces and plenty of luster." This type was struck 1927-36 in substantial numbers. It superseded a type struck 1911-26 with a different reverse (KM 818).
Recorded mintage: 18,763,000 + proofs.
Specification: 14.13 g, 0.500 fine silver, .227 troy oz ASW, 32.3 mm diameter.
