This specimen was lot 77559 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $480. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Shilling, 1917. London Mint. George V. PCGS MS-65." This type was struck in large numbers 1911-19, then reduced to 0.500 fine in 1920. The SCWC notes that the issues of World War One frequently come weak.

Recorded mintage: 22,202,600.

Specification: 5.65 g, 0.925 fine silver, 23.5 mm diameter.
