This specimen was lot 33155 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $576. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V 6 Pence 1917 MS67 PCGS. A hint of sea green and champagne toning upon near perfect surfaces. Few ever grade this highly." This is the key date of the first period (1911-20) of sixpences, before the coin was reduced to 0.500 fine in 1920 and struck in that form until 1936.
