This specimen was lot 7354 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2022), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Florin, 1914. London Mint. George V. NGC MS-64. A handsome example of the type, sporting pleasing sunset toning colors and underlying satiny luster." This type was struck in large numbers 1911-19, then reduced to 0.500 fine in 1920. The SCWC notes that the issues of World War One frequently come weak.
Recorded mintage: 21,253,000, a slightly better date.
Specification: 11.31 g, 0.925 fine silver, 28.3 mm diameter.
