This specimen was part of lot 4369 in Goldberg sale 84 (Los Angeles, January 2015), which for $293.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Maundy Set, 1907. Edward VII. Gem mint state with magnificently matched multi-hue toning. Maundy sets in this grade are just not available any more. Lot of 4 coins. NGC graded Penny, Twopence and Fourpence, MS-65, Threepence NGC graded MS-66, All four coins." This type was struck 1902-10 in substantial numbers.
Recorded mintage: 4,841,000 plus 11,000 prooflike specimens.
Specification: 1.41 g, 0.925 fine silver, 16 mm diameter.
