This specimen was lot 3143 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN: Victoria, 1837-1901, AR florin, 1890, mottled toning, XF." This is a fairly common date of a type struck 1887-92. The 1887, which was massively saved, is the most frequently seen date.
Recorded mintage: 1,685,000.
Specification: 11.31 g, 0.925 fine silver, reeded edge, 28.3 mm diameter.
