This specimen was lot 2331 in Goldberg sale 110 (Los Angeles, June 2019), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Shilling, 1856. Victoria. Obverse: Wyon's young head portrait of queen. Reverse: Value within wreath, date below. Uncirculated with all original mint gloss intact. Scarce. NGC graded MS-64." This type was struck 1838-66 in large quantities with a slightly modified obverse obtaining until 1887.
Recorded mintage: 3,168,000, a common date.
Specification: 5.65 g, 0.925 fine silver, 23.6 mm diameter.
