This specimen was lot 20933 in Heritage sale 3021 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $3,290. The catalog description[1] noted, "William IV Proof Sixpence 1831, reeded edge, coin-rotation die alignment, PR67+ Cameo PCGS, a pristine coin, deeply mirrored and as struck with splashes of splendid, delicate red-gold iridescent toning. None finer could exist. Struck for the Coronation Proof Set of this year. From The Kairos Collection." This type was struck for William IV 1831-37 in fairly large numbers and this is the most available date. A few palladium proofs are recorded.
