This specimen was lot 33049 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "George IV gold Sovereign 1824 XF Details (Cleaned) NGC. Honey-gold with some glassy elements present at the legends." The sovereign would be struck for circulation through World War One and is still struck at the Royal Mint today but is sold as a bullion coin.

Specification: 7.99 g, 0.917 fine gold, .2354 troy oz AGW.

Catalog reference: Fr-376; S-3800; KM 682.
