This specimen was lot 4342 in Goldberg sale 75 (Los Angeles, September 2013), where it sold for $230. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Shilling, 1819. George III. Gem MS65 Lovely coin with a subtle tone. NGC graded MS-65." The type was struck 1816-20 and features the bust of George III, by then subject to the regency of his son the Prince of Wales. An 1819/18 overdate exists.

Recorded mintage: 7,595,000.

Specification: 5.65 g, 0.925 fine silver, .168 troy oz.
