This specimen was lot 47364 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $930. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Crown, 1718/6 Year QUINTO. London Mint. George I. PCGS Genuine--Scratch, EF Details." This type was struck 1716, 1718, 1720 and 1726. According to the SCWC, no plain date exists for 1718. None of the British crowns of the eighteenth century are cheap.
Recorded mintage: unknown but a better date.
Specification: 30.1 g, 0.925 fine silver, 38.6 mm diameter.
