This specimen was lot 40796 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $1,880. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND. Graubunden. 4 Franken, 1842. NGC MS-65. Issued for the 1842 shooting festival. Mintage of only 6,000 pieces. Sharply struck and nicely toned." The later editions of the SCWC delete this issue, considering it a medal (shooting thaler) rather than a coin. It remains, however, listed in Davenport.

Recorded mintage: 6,000.

Specification: silver.

Catalog reference: formerly KM-17, Dav-372.
