This specimen was lot 46273 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $384. The catalog description[1] noted, "GIBRALTAR. Bimetallic 75 Ecus, 1996-PM. Pobjoy Mint. Elizabeth II. GEM PROOF. On the 1000th Anniversary of the foundation of Austria." This product of the Pobjoy mint is denominated in ECUs (European Currency Units), a proposed currency that eventually became the euro.

Recorded mintage: 1,500 proofs plus an unknown number in base metal.

Specification: proofs: 7.82 g, 0.1257 troy oz gold plus 0.1257 troy oz platinum.
