This specimen was lot 3315 in Aureo y Calicó sale 422 (Barcelona, December 2023), where it sold for 101 € (about US$131 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted, "Gibraltar. 1991. Isabel II. 5 coronas. Juegos Olímpicos - Barcelona '92. Lanzador de disco [discus thrower]. AG. Proof." The Gibraltar section of the SCWC is stuffed with non-circulating commemoratives minted under license by the Pobjoy mint and marketed to collectors worldwide. This one honors the Olympic Games and was the only issue of this denomination in 1991.
