This specimen was lot 1393 in Jean Elsen sale 160 (Brussels, November 2024), where it sold for €140 (about US$177 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"VLAANDEREN, Graafschap, Gent in opstand tegen Maximiliaan (1488-1492), biljoen half vuurijzer, z.j. (1489-1490). Vz/ Klimmende leeuw n. l. Daaronder: xxx. Kz/ + FIAT PAX IN VIRTVTE TVA Gebloemd kruis met in het hart een lelie. goede Zeer Fraai. (county of Flanders, Ghent in rebellion against Maximilian, 1488-92, billon half stuiver, circa 1489-90. Obverse: lion rampant left, 'xxx' below; reverse: floriate cross with a lily at the center. Good very fine.)"

This type was issued during one of Ghent's many revolts against outside authority.
