This specimen was lot 3048 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $840. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY: Third Reich, 1 reichsmark, 1933-A, a superb reflective proof example, PCGS graded Proof 65 CAM, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." Altho technically an issue of Nazi Germany, the design makes no reference to the new regime and was probably prepared before Hitler took over. It was struck 1933-39 at six mints.
Recorded mintage: 6,030,000, a slightly scarce date; the proofs are rare.
Specification: 4.85 g, nickel, 23 mm diameter, decorated edge.
