Steve Album sale 54, lot 2624

This specimen was lot 2624 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY: Weimar Republic, 200 mark, Stuttgart, 1923-F, lightly toned, a lovely example! ICG graded MS66." This coin is an aluminum 200 mark from a type issued 1923 only from six mints, including Stuttgart (mintmark "F"). This coin was issued in the middle of the infamous hyperinflation, destroying the savings of the German middle class and radicalizing it.

Recorded mintage: 20,090,000 plus proofs.

Specification: 1 g, aluminum, 23 mm diameter, reeded edge.
