This specimen was lot 38433 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Weimar Republic. 3 Mark, 1922-G. Karlsruhe Mint. PCGS PROOF-66." This type, struck 1922-23, honored the third anniversary of the Weimar Republic. This is a common date. Soon after this issue, the German mark collapsed completely, destroying the savings of the German middle class and radicalizing it.

Specification: 1.95-2.03 g, aluminum, 28 mm diameter.
