This specimen was lot 38455 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Weimar Republic. 5 Pfennig, 1919-D. Munich Mint. PCGS MS-65." This imperial type, introduced in 1915 as a wartime substitute for the copper-nickel five pfennig, was struck until 1922. Uncirculated examples are not common.
